GB News Host Anne Diamond Reveals New Health Scare and Paramedics’ Shock
GB News host Anne Diamond has shared details of a recent health scare that left paramedics shocked and rushing her to the hospital. The 69-year-old broadcaster, who recently underwent treatment for breast cancer, revealed on her GB News Breakfast show that she had to take time off due to dangerously high blood pressure.
Diamond explained, “Some of you have been asking why I’ve been off. The reason I’ve been off was a lot to do with stonkingly high blood pressure. And while that wasn’t the whole problem, and I am still yet to get a proper diagnosis as to what was going on, it was an enormous part of the problem.”
She went on to describe how the paramedics were alarmed by her high blood pressure, saying, “When the paramedics saw it they sort of went white and said, ‘Well, you’re off to hospital.’ And that was that.”
The veteran broadcaster emphasized the importance of monitoring blood pressure, urging everyone to be more aware of this vital health indicator. She shared her own experience as a cautionary tale, highlighting the significance of keeping an eye on blood pressure at any age.
Despite the health scare, Diamond reassured her audience that she was feeling much better after receiving medical treatment. Last year, she bravely disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis and the subsequent double mastectomy she underwent as part of her fight against the disease.
Diamond’s resilience and openness about her health journey have inspired many, and her return to work on GB News is a testament to her strength and determination. Her advocacy for public health and charity work, particularly in raising awareness about cot death, has earned her recognition, including an OBE in the 2023 New Year Honours.
As Diamond continues to share her story and raise awareness about important health issues, she serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for many facing similar challenges. Her courage and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others make her a true role model in the world of broadcasting and beyond.
