OHSU COVID-19 Update
OHSU Reports COVID-19 Hospitalization Numbers as of May 22, 2024
As of Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) has reported that there are 3 patients hospitalized with COVID-19. In comparison, Hillsboro Medical Center has reported 0 COVID-19 hospitalizations.
Among the patients hospitalized at OHSU, the breakdown of vaccination status is as follows:
- 1 Not Fully Vaccinated/Unvaccinated
- 1 Fully Vaccinated
- 1 Fully Vaccinated with Booster and/or Updated 2023-2024 Vaccine
Out of the 3 infectious patients at OHSU, none have been de-isolated. Additionally, there are 0 patients in the ICU and 0 patients on a ventilator at OHSU.
Since February 28, 2020, OHSU has conducted 290,713 COVID-19 tests, resulting in 31,910 positive cases. Currently, there are 105 patients with pending test results and 262 in-hospital deaths.
On the vaccination front, OHSU has administered 495,728 vaccine doses through its community vaccination sites. In collaboration with other health organizations, OHSU has also administered 546,166 vaccine doses at the Oregon Convention Center vaccination site.
OHSU continues to work closely with state and local public health authorities to coordinate a regional response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The university remains committed to containing the spread of the virus and protecting its workforce.
