Providence Swedish is embarking on its most ambitious project yet, a $1.3 billion endeavor that includes the construction of a new 12-story tower for inpatient care in Seattle. Elizabeth Wako, president and CEO of Swedish Health Services, describes the project as essential for providing modern healthcare services to the community.

The new North Tower is set to be completed by the fall of 2027 and will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including 24 operating suites, 31 emergency department rooms, and 72 intensive care unit beds. The building is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for future expansion and adaptation to meet evolving healthcare needs.
