Foundation Office Preparing for 31st Charity Golf Classic
The Leduc Community Hospital Foundation is gearing up for its 31st Charity Golf Classic, set to take place at the Leduc Golf Club on Friday, June 7. This year’s theme is “Superheroes Unite!” with all proceeds going towards the Wish List. The foundation is still looking for sponsorships and donations of gift cards and prizes for fundraising initiatives at the event. Golf spots are filling up quickly, with singles, couples, or teams of four welcome to participate. Those interested can contact the office at (780) 980-4536 for more information or to register, with an Early Bird Draw deadline of May 10 for a chance to win a prize.
For those who are not golfers but love lobster, the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc will be hosting Lobsterfest 2024 on the same day at Red Tail Landing. The evening will feature a lobster and steak feast, live and silent auctions, and Maritime entertainment, with proceeds also supporting the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation. Tickets for Lobsterfest are $100 per person and can be purchased by contacting Grant Leach at (780) 719-7877.
Additionally, the Smile Cookie Campaign is running until Sunday, May 5, with all cookies purchased at the Leduc Common or Hawthorne Way Tim Horton’s locations supporting the foundation. The foundation also recently awarded scholarships and professional development awards to deserving recipients pursuing healthcare studies.
To support the foundation further, individuals can donate a vehicle, RV, boat, or motorcycle through Donate A Car Canada, with all proceeds going towards the foundation. The foundation also welcomed new Board Trustees and encourages individuals to sign up for the Be Well Bulletin e-newsletter to stay informed.
