OHSU COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Hospitalization Update: OHSU Reports 4 Patients Hospitalized

As of Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) has reported that 4 patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. This update comes as part of the ongoing efforts to monitor and manage the impact of the virus on the community.

Hospitalization Details

Among the 4 patients hospitalized at OHSU, the breakdown of vaccination status is as follows:

  • 0 Not Fully Vaccinated/Unvaccinated
  • 3 Fully Vaccinated
  • 1 Fully Vaccinated with Booster and/or Updated 2023-2024 Vaccine

Of the 4 patients, 4 are currently infectious and receiving treatment at the hospital. There are no patients in the ICU or on a ventilator at this time.

OHSU-Specific Data

Since February 28, 2020, OHSU has conducted 289,652 COVID-19 tests, resulting in 31,857 confirmed cases. There have been 262 in-hospital deaths related to COVID-19. As of April 24, there have been no newly detected patient cases.

Additionally, OHSU has administered 494,789 vaccine doses through its community vaccination sites, contributing to the overall vaccination efforts in the state.
