Prime Healthcare Celebrates 27 Hospitals Awarded “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade
ONTARIO, Calif., May 20, 2024– Prime Healthcare has recently announced that 27 of its hospitals across 12 states have been awarded an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for Spring 2024. This prestigious national recognition highlights Prime Healthcare’s commitment to patient safety and quality care.
In the past year, an impressive 81 percent of Prime’s hospitals have earned “A” grades from The Leapfrog Group. The Leapfrog Group evaluates hospitals based on over 30 national performance measures, focusing on errors, accidents, injuries, infections, and harm-prevention systems.

Several Prime Healthcare hospitals, including Centinela Hospital Medical Center in California, East Liverpool City Hospital in Ohio, and Lake Huron Medical Center in Michigan, have consistently maintained straight “A” grades since 2018, showcasing their ongoing dedication to patient safety.
Additionally, Prime Healthcare is proud to announce that several hospitals have improved their performance and earned “A” grades in the latest assessment. These hospitals include Dallas Medical Center in Texas, Lehigh Regional Medical Center in Florida, Lower Bucks Hospital in Pennsylvania, Saint Clare’s Dover Hospital in New Jersey, Saint Michael’s Medical Center in New Jersey, and Shasta Regional Medical Center in California.
