Explosions Reported in Gaza Strip, US Demands Answers from Israel
The United States has demanded answers from Israel after mass graves were discovered outside two hospitals in the Gaza Strip, as reported by Iranian state television. More than 300 bodies were found at burial sites near the Nasser and al-Shifa hospitals, including women and elderly individuals, according to the UN.
Israel has denied any responsibility for the graves, stating that they were dug by Gazans several months ago. However, tensions continue to rise as Israel prepares to send troops into Rafah, Gaza, where it claims the last remaining battalions of Hamas are hiding.
The Israeli military has mobilized two reservist brigades and set up tents near Rafah in preparation for a ground operation. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has indicated that they are moving forward with the operation, although no specific timeline has been provided.
In the midst of these developments, Hamas released a propaganda video showing Israeli-American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 24, with a damaged arm. The situation remains volatile as the conflict between Israel and Hamas escalates in the region.
